Duru Bulgur, which has been working in the industrial field to grow healthy generations, has also attracted attention with the support to education and sports in recent years. İhsan Duru, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Duru Bulgur, stated the following on the subject: “The Taekwondo Team of our Performance Sports Club has honored us with medals they won internationally in 2018. We will continue our assertation in taekwondo and in the bicycle branch. Our target is first Turkey and Balkan championships and then 2024 Paris Olympics!”

Duru Bulgur, who rigorously conducts R&D and innovation studies to produce healthy foods, continues to support sports and athletes. Duru Bulgur has supported the Performance Sports Club in the past years and the club received dozens of medals, mostly gold, both nationally and internationally. Duru Bulgur did not leave taekwondo players from Karaman alone this season.

Duru Bulgur Chairman of the Board İhsan Duru said: “As a company, we always support young people. We provide education services from kindergartens to university students. In addition to these trainings, we support them to encourage our young people to do more sports. As Duru Bulgur, we fulfill our responsibility in order to turn the computer-dependent youth into an educated, conscious and athletic youth and we will continue to do so”.

The aim is to train athletes in the youth category

Stating that they added wrist wrestling to the sports they compete in addition to taekwondo, cycling and fitness this year, İhsan Duru said: “We have one thousand fifty two licensed athletes and 2018 was very successful for us. We also increase our branches. Our goal is to train athletes in the youth category”.

İhsan Duru, who stated that 15 athletes competed under the national uniform on behalf of their clubs, listed the successes they achieved in taekwondo in 2018 as follows;

• April 17 Azerbaijan International Taekwondo Championship (Bera Gülfem Çelik - Second prize)
• 2018 Clubs Championship Çankırı (Selçuk Akbaş - Second prize)
• March 20, Turkey High School championship (Samet Çelik - Third prize)
• March 20, Turkey High School Championships (Berna Akbulut-Second Prize)
• Toddlers, Juniors, youth and Seniors Championship team first place

Taekwondo athletes ride high

Established in 2003, Performance Sports Club has achieved many successes that it has aimed since the day it started its taekwondo activities with the support of Duru Bulgur. They represented Karaman at a high level. And honored of Turkey with medals they won internationally.

Target on the bike: 2024 Paris Olympics

Duru Bulgur Performance Sports Club is also ambitious in the bicycle branch in 2019. With the support of Club Duru Bulgur, it strengthened staff and signed agreements with experienced names. The teams aim to win the Turkey and Balkan championships in the road bike and mountain bike categories this season as well. The biggest goal of the club is to send athletes to the 2024 Paris Olympics and to represent Turkey in the best way in Paris.
