In 1976, Ziya Duru’s son Ihsan Duru became a partner of his father. After Ziya Duru’s death in 1979, his son Emin Duru also became a partner in 1982.
Making production in a bulgur production facility, DURU revised all the machines in 1985 and started up a company and accelerated his activities in 1988.
With the purpose of switching from a small bulgur production facility to fabrication, a building plot was purchased from the industrial zone established in Karaman in 1989 and the foundations of the current factory were laid. In 1990, the factory was operated and the first packaging was made. Increasing the capacity in 1997, DURU BULGUR also started to pack pulse and rice products with the purpose of providing better services to its customers within the same year.
Accelerating branding and institutionalizing activities in 2000, DURU BULGUR got ISO 2000 Quality Certificate. Completing its packaging and logo studies, which are still being used, in 2001, DURU BULGUR showed the importance it gives to quality by getting ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management Systems Certificate in 2003.
Being entitled to have HACCYP Hygiene Certificate from Tuv-Cert in Germany, DURU BULGUR strengthened its corporate structure by establishing a distribution organization in Turkey in 2006.
